Paws in the Paddocks are open from 07:00 to 19:00 seven day a week, offering half day, standard day (up to 8 hours) or an extended day (over 8 hours) within that time period.

What happens in bad weather?

In bad weather Paws in the Paddocks use their indoor space, which is designed for comfort and safety, with non-slip flooring, fun rainy-day activities, and quiet areas for your dog to relax.

Does Paws in the Paddocks supply dog food when boarding or on day care?

Paws in the Paddocks recommend owners provide their own food to maintain their dogs preferred diet. Dogs are then fed according to the owner’s instructions.

Are dogs kept together when homeboarding?

Same family dogs can be kept together. Individual dogs homeboarding are allocated their own individual space.

Do you accept entire males and un-spayed females?

Paws in the Paddocks accept entire males and un-spayed females subject to assessment of their behavior to other dogs. Bitches in season are discouraged other than in exceptional circumstances.

Do you take puppies?

Paws in the Paddocks accept puppies as soon as they are fully vaccinated. Socialisation at a young age is encouraged so that the puppy becomes accustomed to the environment and thereby preempting separation anxiety issues at a later stage.

What vaccinations does my dogs need?

As a minimum, dogs must be vaccinated against canine parvovirus, distemper, infectious canine hepatitis and leptospirosis – currently DHP and L4.  Alternatively, an up-to-date titre test is acceptable for DHP if preferred.  Kennel cough is not mandatory and at the owner’s discretion.

What is your emergency policy?

Paws in the Paddocks are registered with a local vet within a 15 min drive.  If your dog becomes unwell and in need of veterinarian attention, contact with vets will be made in the following order:

  • Emergency/priority – dog will be taken straight to the local Paws registered vet. Dog’s own veterinary contact details will be provided to the Paws registered vet in order that medical notes can be obtained if necessary. The owner will be contacted as a priority.
  • Non-emergency/other issues – if possible, contact will be made with owner to agree action. If owner cannot be contacted, then the dog will be taken to Paws registered vet.

Can I drop my dog off at any time to Paws in the Paddocks?

Paws in the Paddocks are open from 07:00 to 19:00 seven day a week, dogs may be dropped off and collected anytime during these hours with prior arrangement.

Are all the dogs in one big group?

Paws in the Paddocks use buddy groups based on your dog’s size, age and temperament. Dogs often stay with the same buddies so relationships and confidence can grow, however we also like to encourage them to make new friends.

What are the payment methods?

Day Care – invoiced monthly in arrears

Homeboarding – payable in full prior to start of boarding period

Payment can be made by BACs transfer or cash.

Do Paws in the Paddocks have a cancellation policy?

Day Care – less than 48 hours full amount is payable

Homeboarding – Deposit if 30 to 10 days’ notice, less than 10 days full payment.
