Services
From playtime to downtime, Paws in the Paddocks make sure your dog has a happy, well-balanced day.
The sensory garden is a converted vegetable garden, now replanted with herbs and plants chosen especially for dogs’ incredible sense of smell.
Within their buddy groups, dogs are encouraged to play, socialise, and make new friends — always carefully supervised.
Our indoor space is designed for comfort and safety, with non-slip flooring, fun rainy-day activities, and quiet areas to relax.
What You Need to Know
1. All new clients will be offered a Meet and Greet session to look around the facilities of Paws in the Paddocks and then a free half day taster for their dog(s) to be assessed for suitability. Following this, day care can be booked as required. For new customers, we ask that initially at least two daycare days per month are booked so that dogs can become familiar with the environment and settle in comfortably.
2. All dogs who wish to board with Paws in the Paddocks are required to have an overnight stay prior to boarding to ensure the dog(s) settles and shows no signs of anxiety.
3. In an emergency Paws in the Paddocks will act the as Agent of the Client taking any action it deems necessary to protect and maintain the health, safety and welfare of the dog. In the event of an emergency, every effort will be made to contact the owner or their nominated emergency contact.
4. Dogs must be vaccinated against canine parvovirus, distemper, and infectious canine hepatitis (DHP) at least every 3 years. Alternatively, a valid and up-to-date Titre test is acceptable. Leptospirosis (L4) vaccination is required annually.
5. The Client accepts responsibility for any costs incurred, whether veterinary or otherwise, as a result of any damage, accident, injury or illness caused to or by their dog. The Client agrees to pay any such costs or expenses on demand.
6. The Client confirms that their dog has no history of aggressive or antisocial behaviour and that they have made a full and honest disclosure of any characteristics or traits that may make their dog unsuitable for socialising with other dogs.
7. Should a dog be deemed unsuitable for group care or socialisation, Paws in the Paddocks reserves the right to cancel bookings immediately and indefinitely. In exceptional circumstances, if the Client is unavailable, the Client’s nominated emergency contact may be required to collect the dog.
8. Due to Paws in the Paddocks being situated in a rural and peaceful village setting, we are unable to accept dogs who bark persistently, as this may cause a nuisance and lead to stress or reactionary barking from other dogs.
9. Dogs showing any signs of illness will be segregated and alternative arrangements will need to be made if it is a contagious disease (e.g. Parvovirus, Kennel Cough etc), for the safety of other dogs on site.
10. Emergency Policy
Paws in the Paddocks are registered with a local vet within a 15 min drive. If a dog becomes unwell and in need of veterinarian attention, contact with vets will be made in the following order:
Emergency/priority – dog will be taken straight to the local Paws registered vet. The dog’s own veterinary contact details will be provided to the Paws registered vet in order that medical notes can be obtained if necessary. The owner will be contacted as a priority.
Non-emergency/other issues – if possible, contact will be made with the owner to agree action. If the owner cannot be contacted, then the dog will be taken to Paws registered vet.
All veterinary charges will be the responsibility of the Client
10. For our client’s reassurance Paws in the Paddocks hold comprehensive business insurance coverage, are DBS checked and dog first aid trained.
